This Privacy Policy explains how The Trout and Butterfly handles personal information when you visit the website, contact the hosts or book through Airbnb or Booking.com.

- When you contact us through the contact form, we collect the details you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message, including any stay dates, group size or pet information you mention.
2. How we use the information
- We use this information to respond to your questions, communicate with you before and after a stay and keep appropriate records. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
3. Contact form and website hosting
- Messages sent through the contact form are stored securely in the website's database, hosted on the website's managed hosting infrastructure, and are used only to respond to your enquiry and manage your stay.
4. WhatsApp
- If you contact the hosts through WhatsApp, your message and phone number are processed by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.
5. Google Maps
- The Contact page includes an embedded Google Map showing the property's location. When you view or interact with the map, Google may process technical information such as your IP address under its own privacy policy.
6. Booking platforms
- Reservations are completed on Airbnb or Booking.com. The Book page includes an embedded Airbnb listing preview and a link to Booking.com. When you make a booking, the platform processes your information, including payment details, under its own privacy policy.
- The Trout and Butterfly does not receive or store your card or payment information from Airbnb or Booking.com.
7. Cookies and analytics
- This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
8. Retention and security
- Information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your message, manage a stay and meet legal or accounting obligations. Reasonable technical and organisational measures protect it from loss, misuse or unauthorised access.
